Wild West Trades Day at Fort Walsh National Historic Site, SK
August 5th – Wild West Trades Day at Fort Walsh National Historic Site, SK
Saturday August 05, 2017
Looking for a great family fun day in the Cypress Hills? Travel back to a time when the sound of the blacksmith’s hammer on the anvil and lick of flame on metal were as common as the ring of a cellphone. Watch your teens, tweens and tots discover a more traditional way of life. Try your hand at archery, then enjoy some live music and great food. There is also plenty of activities for the kids, such as getting air-brush tattoos, face painting, bouncy castles and more!
Quick march and watch the NWMP and RCMP on a drill. Cover your ears as the rifles fire. Have fun learning about the lives of the people who lived on this land more than a hundred years ago.
