DESCRIPTION:The Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce is hosting its inaugural "Farmer Appreciation Night" on November 7\, 2014.  Our chamber realizes the importance and impact the farming community has on the sustainability of our economy.  We felt it time we introduce a celebration to commemorate our farming community.  \n\n\n\nSPEAKER\n\nCome out and hear  Kevin Hursh speak on the Ag Industry today.  Kevin is an agricultural consultant\, journalist and farmer. His work is well-known in Saskatchewan and beyond. He serves as editor for a national bi-monthly magazine called AgriSuccess\, published by Farm Credit Canada\, and he writes a weekly column for The Western Producer\, Canada's top agricultural newspaper. Each year\, he speaks to scores of agricultural conferences and conventions. Kevin and his wife Marlene run Hursh Consulting & Communications from a home-based office in Saskatoon. They provide management services to Crop Production Week. Kevin also serves as executive director of the Saskatchewan Mustard Development Commission\, theCanaryseed Development Commission of Saskatchewan and the Inland Terminal Association of Canada. As well\, Kevin and Marlene own and operate a grain farm near Cabri in southwestern Saskatchewan\, growing a wide array of crops.\n\n \n\nENTERTAINMENT\n\nAlso enjoy being entertained by the Hudec brothers as they perform that evening.
