DESCRIPTION:The Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 3rd Annual "Farmer Appreciation Night" on March 24th\, 2017.  Our chamber realizes the importance and impact the farming community has on the sustainability of our economy.  We feel that a celebration is essential to recognize and commemorate our farming community.  \n\n\n\nSpeaker\n\n\n\nCome out and hear Marty Seymour speak on the Ag industry Today.  Marty Seymour currently holds the position of Director of Industry and Stakeholder Relations with Farm Credit Canada.  Marty has travelled the country\, talking with farmers\, business people and consumers about food production and future trends in the country.  Prior to this Marty held the position of CEO With Canadian Western Agribition where he was at the helm of initiating the Indigenous Agriculture Summit and the Grain Expo. He saw the start of a new commercial cattle program\, participated in the opening of The Yards\, and in the last year\, helped facilitate the partnership with the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association. He was also involved in planning and securing funding for a new home for the show\, as construction is underway on the $37 million International Trade Centre that's scheduled to be finished in time for the 2017 edition of Agribition.
